Jumping out of a plane at 12,000 feet and free-falling for 40 seconds couldn't be much further from our Senior Account Handler Laura's everyday experience (nor is a jumpsuit her everyday office attire!)
Terrifying as it is, they say facing your fears makes you stronger... and if at the same time we can make this important charity stronger too, well, it's pretty hard to say no!
So here we are, sending our precious Laura off to the Headcorn Airfield in Kent - all in the hope of raising vital funds for The Children's Respite Trust.
This fantastic Charity provides respite for disabled children and support for their families. The dedicated centre in Uckfield gives time back to the families to spend time with siblings of the disabled children, or simply allows them the opportunity to rest - something that many of us take for granted.
"No family should be left to care for a disabled child alone"
The Children's Respite Trust @crtcharity has wonderful facilities, but right now they really need help with the ongoing costs of care and staff training, as well as rent and utility expenses.
We initially set a target of £1,000, and now that we have achieved that, we are looking to stretch it to £1,500. It's a fair chunk of money, and when spent on the transformative work this charity provides, it becomes something very special indeed.
Please give as generously as you are able to - every single donation makes a difference and is so greatly appreciated!
